SUSTAINABILITY
Minimal environmental impact is a priority at Tempo Rubato.
We aim to function without creating any landfill waste. We also aim to minimise our recyclable waste as much as possible. We offer wine on tap in our bar, supplied in re-usable wine cylinders by TAP. wines. We serve beer from cans and recycle the cans directly at our local scrap metal depot. We try to avoid unnecessary packaging and recycle what we can’t avoid in the most sustainable way possible.
We also maintain carbon neutrality. We run our space with a goal of minimal consumption of energy. We have solar power and we purchase renewable energy for surplus needs. We do not use gas. Our carbon generation comes from our waste disposal systems, water use and activities of our staff while working. We estimate the carbon generated by our activities at the end of each financial year and sponsor the planting of enough trees to ensure we have offset our production. We purchase our trees with Fifteen Trees who plant trees in projects throughout Australia and New Zealand, supporting natural habitats as well as off-setting carbon.
